How To: White Eyeliner
How To: White Eyeliner
We’re going to say something bold: it’s time to bring back white eyeliner. No longer reserved strictly for your mod-girl Halloween costume, white eyeliner is making a comeback in a big way. The best part? Wearing white eyeliner on your bottom waterline has the power to make your eyes look brighter and wider – two things we’re very much in need of, thanks to our many late nights uh, studying.
We love this simple and daytime-appropriate way to wear white eyeliner – instructions below:
1. Prime your upper lid and lower lash line with eyeshadow primer to prevent smudging.
2. Sweep a nude, shimmery shadow across your lid, two-thirds of the way up to your brow. We used Sin from Urban Decay Naked Palette. Apply a chocolate shimmery shadow into the outside corner of your crease in a sideways “V” shape to accentuate and add definition. We used Darkhorse from Urban Decay Naked Palette.
3. Take a black liquid liner and trace along your upper lash line.
4. Line your lower waterline with a matte, white eyeliner – we used Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl in Blanc. Use a eyeshadow brush to soften the line and give it a more natural appearance. Finish off with a swipe of mascara on your lower lashes and voila – instantly brighter, more awake eyes!
